A 17 year old girl was raped by two men and then told by court officials that she wasn’t allowed to talk about it or share the names of her attackers. She tweeted her rapists’ names and is now facing 180 days in jail and a $500 fine.

Her rapists’ names, in case you were wondering, are Will Frey and Austin Zehnder. Please spread these names so that the court isn’t able to protect these boys and shame the victim.

So many things in the world are going horribly wrong. That’s incredible!

Can’t believe this, that is honestly shocking. I don’t think criminals should have any rights at all when they do things like rape/murder, so why she’d be fine for simply releasing their names is beyond me. Depending on whether they were confined at the time or not surely it’s better that their names are released so that people around them can be aware of what they’ve done. Fucked up legal system at it’s best (not that ours is much better let’s be honest).
